Simply apply a little ACV with a Q-tip. Alternately, an ACV/water mix can be used as a toner on the skin.
Mint is very effective in soothing the skin and in the reduction of acne. Prepare a mint face mask by grinding fresh and clean mint leaves with a little water. If themask is too watery then add some chickpea powder to make a smooth paste. Apply the mint face mask on your face avoiding the eyes. Leave the mask on for 15-20minutes and then wash off with cold water. This face mask should be used every day for a couple of months. Prepare a paste of two teaspoons gram flour, a pinch of turmeric powder and rose water. Apply a thin layer of this paste on your face and neck. Do not use it over the eyes. Allow the paste to dry completely. Remove the dried paste using cold water. Gently massage the face while washing off the paste.
Nutmeg is used in many non-vegetarian preparations to give taste and aroma to the dish. However, nutmeg is also used widely in ayurvedic medicine because of its antiseptic properties. These antiseptic properties make nutmeg beneficial for the treatment of acne.Take two teaspoons of nutmeg powder and mix it with a little water to form paste. Do spot applications of the nutmeg paste over the acne on your face. Leave for two minutes and then gently start massaging the acne spots using the tip of your index finger. Squeeze juice of one lemon in a small bowl. Add a few drops of water in the bowl. Wash your hands and dip your index finger in the lemon juice.
