The condition takes about 3-4 days to get cured completely.

In order to treat pink eye condition effectively, it is best to use freshly prepared rose water instead of using the ones that are available commercially. Take 100 grams of rose petals and wash them thoroughly under running water.
Put the rose petals in boiling water and cover the vessel for 5 minutes. Remove the vessel from the flame and allow the solution to cool. Strain the infusion and pour the resultant water in a spray bottle. Spray rose water directly on your eyes.
Many women place cucumber slices over their eyes to get rid of the dark circles. However, not many are aware that cucumber is great for treating pink eyes naturally. Simply place thin cucumber slices over the eyes to treat the infection.
The juices from cucumber will also help lessen the pain from the infection. Alternatively, you can also grate the cucumber and extract the juices. Mix a little water with the cucumber juice and wash your eyes with the mixture.
Do not throw away the tea bags that you use for preparing the chamomile tea. Wash the tea bags under running water and store them in the refrigerator.
Apply the chamomile tea bags over the infected eyes. Not only will the tea bags help with the condition but you will also get rid of your dark circles ! Peppermint and green tea bags work just as well.
Witch hazel is known to cool the eyes and prevent the infection from spreading further. Boil 200 grams of witch hazel leaves for about 10-15 minutes. Remove the leaves from flame and allow the infusion to cool down before straining it. Pour the strained water in a spray bottle.
Spray the witch hazel water over your eyes at least 10 times in a day. It will bring down the redness and inflammation caused by the infection. You can even store the witch hazel concoction in the refrigerator.
Clean a handful of neem leaves under running water to remove the dust and dirt from them completely. Put the leaves in boiling water and cover the vessel. Let the leaves boil for 7-10 minutes. Remove the vessel from flame and allow the water to cool.
Strain the neem infusion. Wash your eyes at least 5 times in the day using this infusion. You can also dip cotton balls in the neem water and place them over your eyes to bring immediate relief from the discomfort.
