Facial Mask at Home

Most of us impulsively spend thousands of rupees every year getting ourselves beautified at the neighbouring salon. The need to go to an expensive salon is negated if you have the right ingredients at home.

Homemade facial masks are much better and are more natural on the skin. Different skin types can benefit from facial masks made of simple ingredients like glycerine, honey and avocado. Here are some of the top facial masks, which you can whip up right within the comfort of your home.

Various Types Of Home Facial Mask

Oatmeal and Yoghurt Mask

This mask is suitable for all skin types. It helps to cleanse and rejuvenate the skin. Take two teaspoons of oatmeal and to it add one tablespoon of yoghurt.

Now add two generous teaspoons of honey to this mixture and mix well. Apply this mask on your face for ten minutes and wash off. Your skin will not only glow but will also look radiant.

Pumpkin Mask

The pumpkin mask is a specially formulated mask to get rid of aging, fine lines, sun damage and tanning. Take the pulp of a pumpkin and puree it in a mixie. To this, add some crushed almond powder, two tablespoons of honey, two well-beaten eggs and some cranberry juice.

Mix the paste well and apply it on your face. Leave it on for at least half an hour. Wash off after some time. The mask is also very good for oily skin that is prone to pimples. Use this mask at least twice in a week for best results.

White Sugar Scrub

This scrub acts as a great Bkin exfoliant and gets rid of dead skin cells, whiteheads and blackheads. Add two teaspoons of sugar to one tablespoon of water and dissolve the sugar well. It should be mildly granular otherwise, it will hurt your skin. Now rub this mixture gently on your face in round circular motions. This scrub will help to get rid of all skin impurities.

Egg White Facial Mask

This mask is suitable for normal to combination skin. It helps to soften the skin and tighten the skin pores, giving you visibly clearer and oil free skin. Break two eggs and separate the whites of the egg.

Mix two tablespoons of yoghurt into this mixture and beat well. Now apply this paste on your face and leave it on until it completely dries up. Wash it off to see beautifully smooth skin.

The Clay Mask

The clay mask is recommended for all skin types. For this, you will need 1 ½ teaspoon of green or kaolin clay. To this add one teaspoon of rose water and 1 ½ tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel. Mix thoroughly.

Apply this pack evenly all over your face and neck. Make sure it is completely dry before you wash it off. Follow this up by moisturizing your face with a good moisturizer. These homemade facial masks are simple to make and very effective as compared to OTC creams and lotions.
