A sty, medically referred to as a hordeolum, is an acute infection of the oil glands of the eyelids that results in a firm, red lump on the eyelid. It may eventually come to a head as it fills with pus. Eye stye is an eyelid infection. Common causes of eye stye include improper eyelid hygiene, hormonal changes, use of poor quality cosmetic products and so on. A stye may result in redness, swelling and pain in the infected eye.

Vegetable Slices

You can place vegetable (cucumber, potato and so on) slices on the infected eye to deal with the problem of eye stye. It is important to use fresh vegetable slices to obtain the desired results.

Clove Oil

Applying clove oil on the infected eye can help in reducing the inflammation resulting from eye stye. Clove oil can be considered as one of the best home remedies for eye stye.

Goldenseal

You can extract juice from a goldenseal root and mix it with water. This mixture can be used as an eye drop for treating eye stye. Putting a few drops of this mixture 2 to 3 times in a day can help in obtaining quick relief from eye stye.

Garlic Juice

Egg White

You can consume dandelion tea on a regular basis to cure eye stye. Tea bags soaked in cold water can also be placed over the infected eye to obtain quick relief from the problem of eye stye. You can use lemon grass and chamomile tea bags for more effective results.
