The problem of halitosis is frequently referred to as “Bad Breath”. Common causes of halitosis include smoking, use of dentures, sinus infection and so on. Common symptoms of halitosis include dry mouth, bad taste and so on.
The problem of bad breath can temporarily result from consumption of garlic, onion, fish and so on. Good oral hygiene is important to deal with the problem of halitosis. Halitosis can be cured by using simple home remedies.

Home Remedies for Bad Breath

Guava

Apple Cider Vinegar

You can consume apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon) with a glass of water before each meal to reduce the problem of halitosis.You can also gargle with a mixture of apple cider vinegar (1/2 tablespoon) and water (1 cup) to obtain relief from halitosis.

Mint Leaves

You can consume a tea prepared with mint leaves to treat the problem of halitosis. You can also chew raw mint leaves after every 2 – 3 hours to get effective results.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek has properties which heal the conditions caused due to bad breath and respiratory tract problems. Take some fenugreek seeds and make a tea using them and drink this tea at least thrice a day. Add one tablespoon of fenugreek seeds to about half a litre of water and simmer this for at least 15 minutes before drinking.

Lemon Juice

You can consume a mixture of lemon juice and honey to cure halitosis. Consumption of this mixture 2 times in a day can provide effective results.You can also create a solution with the use of lemon juice and water. Gargling with this solution on a frequent basis can help in the treatment of halitosis.

Yoghurt

Eat yoghurt for six weeks, to get rid of bad breath totally. Yoghurt contains good bacteria which fights the bacteria found in the mouth, thereby cleaning the body and getting rid of bad breath.

Fenugreek Seeds

You can also add fenugreek seeds (1 tablespoon) in water (1/2 litre) and simmer this mixture for 15 – 20 minutes.Regular consumption of this mixture can help in the treatment of halitosis.

Eucalyptus Leaves

You can chew fresh eucalyptus leaves (3 – 4) in order to cure halitosis. You can also prepare a mixture by boiling eucalyptus leaves in water and gargle with this mixture 2 – 3 times in a day to reduce the problem of halitosis.

Water

You can also consume water on a regular basis to deal with the problem of halitosis.Gargling with a mixture of water and salt 3 – 4 times in a day can also help in curing halitosis. You can also use baking soda for creating the mixture.

Cinnamon

Regular consumption of a tea prepared with the use cinnamon powder can help in the treatment of halitosis. You can also chew cinnamon seeds (1/4th teaspoon) 2 – 3 times in a day to get the desired results.
